If you love Thai food and I mean authentic Thai food you must pay this restaurant a visit. My husband and I were in Thailand in March 2010 and since returning home we have tried several Thai restaurants in Southampton and Fareham, even a local pub because we were told the chef cooked authentic Thai, well I can do better myself with a pot of Mae Ploy and a can of coconut milk. We thought we would have to get back on a plane and find the street cafe at the back of Walking Street but no you can eat authentic Thai in Hampshire, in a cosy restaurant tucked away in Hythe. The staff are very friendly and will help you with the menu, prices are very reasonable both for food and drinks. We went for my birthday so booked a table for a Friday evening, definitely recommend booking for Friday, Saturday nights as it is a small restaurant and will fill up very quickly. I was back five days later for a Mothers Day treat with my children. At lunchtimes they do a deal of £10 for three courses which is all freshly cooked to order the same as the evenings, my son said it was the best food he had ever eaten, says a lot for my cooking  It’s a 72 mile round trip for us but we shall be returning often, whether you are coming to The New Forest in the summer or find yourself in Southampton for any reason drive a little further or hop on the ferry and taste the wonder of Thailand in Hythe, you will not be disappointed. I've now been back four times, took five friends last night who having thought they were on a magical mystery tour from Portsmouth said they loved the food and the service was second to none, great night out, I need more friends to visit more often !! Thanks Quentin and all the staff at Thai Corner, the best Thai from here to Walking Street !!
